Education/Certification:

  • Valid Texas Teacher certification
  • Master's degree preferred

Special Knowledge/Skills:

  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills; detail oriented.

  • Ability to effectively facilitate multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
  • Self-starter with initiative.
  • Knowledge and understanding of federal and state-mandated assessment requirements, with a focus on grades K-8.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years of successful test administration and campus coordination experience

Major Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Serve as the District Testing Facilitator between the Student Assessment Department and the campuses, with an emphasis on Elementary, Middle, and Intermediate campuses.
  • Travel to campuses within the district, as well as to meetings, trainings, and conferences held in other districts and Region 4.
  • Provide training and hands-on assistance to Campus Testing Coordinators to prepare them for successful administrations of federal and state mandated testing programs.
  • Provide additional support for new Campus Testing Coordinators.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of a Campus Assessment Plan for campuses requiring supplemental support.
  • Utilize technology to enhance training and facilitate communication with campuses.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in the use of word processing, database, and spreadsheet software and other applications including but not limited to Chancery, Mizuni, EXCEED, and those used by the Texas Education Agency's testing contractor, Pearson Education Measurement.
  • communicate with Special Programs staff regarding accommodations for Special Education, Section 504, and ELL students.
  • Maintain confidentiality for all testing programs, student data, and testing infractions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Student Assessment Department Staff.

    Physical Demands/Environmental Factors:

  • Coordinating the shipping, receiving, and processing of campus testing materials and district overage.
  • Lifting boxes of 20 pounds or more in weight, and in multiple quantities, to load and unload testing materials into the testing work area and into and out of the vehicles of campus personnel.
  • Operating a pallet-jack/stacker.
  • Occasionally travel to campuses within and out of the district to pick up or deliver testing materials or otherwise support the activities of the Student Assessment Department.
