The LDP program enables successful candidates to experience 3 rotations over a three year period with each rotation lasting one year. Each candidate will be on a track for the duration of the program, enabling diverse experiences within a given track, resulting in a depth of knowledge at the end of the program.
The rotations are aligned to critical business needs in the division across sites, for domestic and/ or international assignments. Because business priorities are assessed before each round of rotations, the available rotations may require a change in location where program participants relocate to other US or non-US locations during the span of their 3-year rotation at each rotation offering. It is expected that a candidate move between sites during the program, as that allows the employee to gain the broadest perspective of the division and to maximize learning and exposure.
Rotations can be in areas such as (but not limited to) the following:
- Small and Large Molecule
- Supply Chain Management
- Global Science Technology and Commercialization
- Animal Health
- External Manufacturing
- Business Development
- Global Safety & Environment
Employees are assigned to rotations based on business needs and aligned to develop experiences critical to their track. In addition to their assignments employees receive mentoring from peers and senior leaders during their assignment. Rotation members should expect to work at different domestic or international sites during their tenure in the program, and should have flexibility to move where assigned to meet business needs. Within the rotation, some domestic and international travel may be required. International rotation assignments or travel are not guaranteed.
POTENTIAL ROTATION LOCATIONS: West Point, PA; Danville, PA; Elkton, VA; Durham, NC; Wilson, NC; Millsboro, DE; Whitehouse Station, NJ; Rahway, NJ; Kenilworth, NJ. Additional sites may be considered within the US or outside the US based on business needs.
In addition to the rotations, candidates will participate in process improvement projects, sponsored by Manufacturing Leadership Team. The program also includes a formal learning curriculum, designed to enhance a wide variety of skills including but not limited to:
