Job Description


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting (preferred) or business/finance-related field with a minimum of 12 hours in accounting;
  • Minimum of three (3) years of successful experience in an accounting office, school district accounting office preferred;
  • Proficient in use of Microsoft Office with significant knowledge and experience in Excel;
  • Familiar with internal accounting controls, software system security and accounting procedures;
  • Ability to analyze and evaluate accounting problems, develop data and recommend improved procedures;
  • Must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, work independently and be a customer service- oriented self-starter;
  • Possess strong interpersonal, communication and organizational

    • TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Annual Contract: 250 days

     

    SALARY:

    $56,730 (BA-3)

    Salary Range (based on experience) as set by the Board of Trustees for the school year 2020-2021

     

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 

  • Review and approve electronic purchase orders according to district policies and
  • Reconcile assigned bank accounts and communicate with district personnel to clear outstanding
  • Reconcile assigned general ledger accounts and communicate with district personnel to clear outstanding
  • Primary administrator for the district’s travel card program, including coordinating the assignments of the card based on travel requests.
  • Work with finance office personnel and internal audit to mitigate problem areas at campus and department
  • Prepare assigned monthly journal entries for month-end and year-end
  • Assist with the preparation of the Comprehensive Annual Financial
  • Perform related duties as assigned by the Assistant Director of Financial Services or the Director of Financial Services.
  • Regular and reliable attendance is an essential job function.
