Job Description

Bachelor's Degree in Business, a technical field or equivalent experience is required.



Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.


General Dynamics Mission Systems has an immediate opening for a Advanced Configuration Management Associate.  This position provides an opportunity to further advance the cutting-edge technology that supports some of our nation’s core defense/intelligence services and systems.  General Dynamics Mission Systems employees work closely with esteemed customers to develop solutions that allow them to carry out high-stakes national security missions.


Implements and maintains an Engineering Change Notice System, including product improvements, repairs, and new product development
Coordinates the interaction between engineering, manufacturing, and program management to ensure appropriate changes are documented
Ensures configuration identification by reviewing design release documents for completeness and proper authorizations Responsible for maintaining product baselines
Works across organizations with Engineering to coordinate processes where possible
May provide training to others on Configuration and Data Management processes
Supports the analysis of proposed changes of product design to determine effect on overall product and system
Coordinates modification records for management control
Establishes change orders and prepares for change authorization and documentation by company and subcontractor
Reviews and analyzes released engineering change data and coordinates changes with engineering, quality, support, manufacturing, and engineering data control activities 
Performs BOM audits to ensure accuracy
Generates a variety of standard reports
Interface with Co-workers within the department
General knowledge of industry practices and standards
Advanced knowledge of MRP/ERP systems

General understanding of Software Configuration Management builds practices
Considerable time management skills
Proficient in the use of all MS Office Suite applications
Proficient in the use of Product Data Management (PDM) applications
General experience using Software Configuration Management Applications
Considerable communication skills, both verbal and written
Considerable attention to detail
Considerable multi-tasking skills
Considerable organizational skills
Considerable interpersonal skills
Follows established policies and procedures
