Job Description

Bachelor's degree in a related specialized area or the equivalent is required plus a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree plus a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
J-STD_001, 002, IPC 610, MIL-STD-883, or NASA std's certification may be required within 30 days of hire


Applicants selected may be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

General Dynamics Mission Systems has an immediate opening for a Advanced Quality SPecialist.  This position provides an opportunity to further advance the cutting-edge technology that supports some of our nation’s core defense/intelligence services and systems.  General Dynamics Mission Systems employees work closely with esteemed customers to develop solutions that allow them to carry out high-stakes national security missions.



  • Compares defects against standards and recommend disposition
  • Participates in team meetings
  • Reviews and dispositions QA documentation (IDRs, DNs)
  • Verifies corrective action implementation•Verifies implementation of rework
  • Participates in audits, assists in performing audits
  • Generates and/or verifies traceability information
  • Verifies compliance to defined processing
  • Authors QA processing documentation
  • Determines and manages handling of “returned products 
  • Interfacing with coworkers, DCMA, and customers
  • Subject matter expert (SME) in one discipline/field and developing working knowledge in adjacent disciplines/fields 


  • Proficient knowledge of basic electrical or mechanical technology
  • Proficient knowledge of ESD control
  • Proficient knowledge of workmanship standards
  • Proficient knowledge of Drawing interpretation
  • Skill in using PC applications (Microsoft Word, Excel)
  • Skill in using basic inspection/measurement tools
  • Proficient knowledge and understanding of documentation, processing and production paperwork
  • Skill in using specific computer production tools
