Coler is an 815 bed, leading nursing facility dedicated to providing quality medical, sub-acute, rehabilitative and long-term specialty services. We are committed to serving New York City, providing services to individuals requiring geriatric, memory care and rehabilitation services.

Job Description

SUMMARY OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  

  • Maintains computerized Maintenance Work Order system. Generate tickets based on requests from Facilities Management personnel, Coler Departments and administration. Generate and track preventive maintenance work orders.

  • Establishes priorities of routine and emergency work requests and assign work orders to appropriate trades and ensure availability of manpower to complete requests

  • Maintains daily status of current work scheduled

  • Closes out completed work orders

  • Prepares various reports based on work orders data base

  • Issue purchase requisitions for materials and services as required.

  • Track billing for vendors. Work with vendors when problems arise with payments. Includes interaction with Purchasing and Account Payable Departments.

  • Monitors Engineering O.T.P.S. budget through the creation of spreadsheets in conjunction with Purchase Orders. Create Requisition through Peoplesoft. Keeps Director of Engineering informed of budget.

  • Track overtime hours for Coler and Office of Facilities Development and provide weekly reports.

  • Work with Payroll for timekeeping questions/corrections and track employees' time.

  • Maintain copies of evaluations for all employees.

  • Answer phones and take messages as needed.

  • Handles emergency requests for manpower.


  • Minimum Qualifications

  • A Baccalaureate Degree from an accredited college or university in Business Administration, Community Health, Psychology or related discipline with one year of full-time experience in a supervisory or administrative capacity in business management systems, general administration, health care and medical/patient systems administration; or,
  •  A satisfactory combination of education, training and experience.
