WSP is currently initiating a search for an Associate Consultant for various offices in the United States.
Primary Roles and Responsibilities
We are recruiting highly motivated self-starters an interest in infrastructure to join a dynamic multidisciplinary team. We seek problem solvers who combine strong written and verbal communications skills and the ability to develop innovative solutions independently and master new concepts quickly to deliver high quality work.
Based in the New York City, Washington, D.C., Chicago, Seattle, or Denver office, the successful candidate will be part of a team working on national and international engagements. You will work mainly on engagements to advise public sector clients on the funding, finance, and delivery of major capital projects and a variety of related infrastructure management and policy issues.  This position will entail tasks such as analyzing needs and opportunities, evaluating alternatives and priorities, developing the business case for infrastructure investments, analyzing project and program funding and financing options, developing funding strategies, reviewing and interpreting federal legislation and guidance, helping clients understand and meet grant requirements, performing quantitative analyses, and providing strategic support in all phases of infrastructure planning and project development.
The Associate Consultant position offers great opportunities for professional growth.  You will work directly with industry thought leaders to identify and apply evolving requirements and innovative practices to large, highly visible projects across the United States.
Job Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree with a major in civil engineering, business, economics, finance, urban or transportation planning, liberal arts, operations research, or related field
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills
  • Demonstrated research skills and experience
  • Interest or experience in the infrastructure industry and related sectors
  • Ability to think creatively, work independently and deliver high quality work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work in a team environment, synthesize problems, and communicate point of view and analytical results

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Advanced degree in business, economics, urban or transportation planning, civil engineering, public policy, or related field
  • Management consulting or advisory experience
