Job Description

The Audit Analyst positions are involved in Data Integrity and Client Data reporting accuracy, Auditing freight bills, interpreting and enforcing contracts. Auditing internal electronic files ensuring compliance with carrier/client contracts. Reporting accuracy of internal audit functions to Senior Management.

  • Associate's degree in Business, Industrial Engineering, Logistics or related field or (5) five years equivalent work experience
  • A minimum of (2) two years of transportation operations experience, including: carrier management, contracts and tariffs, and domestic freight movement, all modes (TL, LTL, Rail, Intermodal)
  • Intermediate skills in MS Excel, such as freezing/unfreezing panes, hiding/unhiding data, setting print titles & page breaks, linking workbooks, creating external links, re-directing links, customizing toolbars & menus, protecting a worksheet, filtering options, and chart formatting options
  • Basic level skills with MS Access such as identifying database components, starting and examining access, opening a database, planning and creating a database, saving and adding records, finding and replacing values in a table, setting field properties, creating reports, and printing reports
  • Basic level skills in MS Word, such as opening word, creating a new document, applying basic character formatting, changing font and font sizes, highlight text, saving and editing the document
  • Basic level skills with MS Power Point such as opening Power Point, opening an existing presentation or creating a new presentation, applying use of different views, inserting a new slide or formatting a slide background, inserting clip art or pictures, viewing the slide show, saving and editing the document


  • NMFC interpretation skills are required

  • Responsible for the Domestic Audit accuracy for two to six clients
  • Resolving contract disputes with carriers
  • Interacting with the Contract Administration Department ensuring contracted rates loaded in the audit system are functioning correctly
  • Providing the Operations Teams and Senior Management with audit accuracy reports and reasons for failures
