WSP is currently seeking an exceptional candidate for a Bridge/Structures Engineering Intern for our Seattle, WA office for the summer of 2020, with the possibility of part time work during the school year.
 
Duties and Responsibilities:
 
  • Support a variety of engineering tasks with the goal to develop technical, social, and ethical skills
  • Assist to develop preliminary design details and adaptations of engineering alternatives
  • Assist to perform computations and analysis for design and evaluation of structures
  • Support preparation of final design plans, special provisions, and cost estimates
  • Assist in collecting and maintaining project documentation

Minimum Qualifications:
  • CURRENT standing as a Junior/Senior student actively enrolled in an accredited Engineering (or related) Undergraduate or Graduate Program
  • Interest in engineering of bridge and other transportation structures
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong technical writing, analytical and communication skills
  • Detail-oriented with an emphasis on quality work products
  • The selected candidate must have the ability to work in the United States immediately

 
Preferred Qualifications
  • Local candidates preferred (Please note that there is no relocation or housing assistance associated with this internship)
  • Three (3) months of previous internship experience
  • Completed Reinforced Concrete Design, Prestressed Concrete Design, and Steel Design
  • Enrollment in Masters Civil Engineering program with focus on structural engineering
