We are currently seeking a Build Engineer to join our team in Palo Alto, California (US-CA), United States (US).

Build Engineer

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Architect highly scalable distributed systems, using different open source tools
• Work directly with our infrastructure and cloud partners to design, set-up and maintain optimal development, test, and production environments.
• Develop automation routines for the building and testing of development environments
• Evaluate and propose best approaches for Platform and Application Deployment
• Establish and review code for the software build architecture
• Use initiative to research solutions to automation issues and integrate these into the system as appropriate

Basic Qualifications:

• 7+ years of overall technology experience
• Minimum of 4 years DevOps or similar development experience
• Experience with Python and Linux shell scripting
• Experience configuring software build, test integration, and deployment functionality using Jenkins pipelines in a containerized environment.
• Possess strong analytical abilities; analyze the effectiveness of software releases, determine, and implement improvements
• Effective communication and leadership skills to collaborate with colleagues, such as product management and development personnel
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline

Nice to Haves:

• Ansible experience
• Exposure to data warehousing, big data, and NoSQL technologies along with a comprehensive understanding of cloud-based delivery models, orchestration, and DevOps
• Enterprise architecture expertise
• Successful experience in large-scale, highly complicated, and global environments
• Japan experience is a plus.
