Current Need
McKesson is seeking a Manager, Business Intelligence and Analytics, to be located in San Francisco, CA.  The Manager is an individual contributor, and i s a key member of the high caliber team responsible for leading various initiatives to support business growth . 
This position will be responsible for providing detailed reporting and analysis by leveraging internal/external market and pricing data resources to drive the business’ reporting, operations, and growth efforts.
 
The individual’s responsibilities include improving and developing reporting and analytical support.  Position requires regular interaction with internal stakeholders across multiple US and Global McKesson locations.
Position Description

Product Forecasting and Demand Planning

  • Provide supporting analytics for production forecasts, P.O. validation, and ad hoc sales-to-forecast variance analyses
  • Develop and maintain reporting to support the commercial and supply chain teams

Reporting and Financial Analytics

  • Provide regular review of drugs in the pipeline to ensure economic viability, recommending to management where opportunities no longer make sense
  • Coordinate with finance team to manage inventory, sales, and margin reporting requirements
  • Provide ad hoc support related to financial budget variance analysis
  • Report on incremental buyside cost savings each month

Government Pricing and Reporting

  • Assist with new launch processes, including registration and calculations for price submissions
  • Streamline the monitoring and reporting of various quarterly government required pricing

Commercialization

  • Support ad hoc analysis related to reporting and supporting business from major McKesson sourcing agreements/partnerships (e.g., Rite Aid and Omnicare agreements)
  • Support the analysis of customer compliance to other incremental supply awards
  • Support pre-launch activities of new NorthStar products

Market Analysis

  • Research and analyze U.S. and international drug markets
  • Monitor market prices on a regular basis and identify opportunities for price changes or new sales opportunities
  • Understand and report on the international competitive landscape
  • Work with management in developing strategies pertaining to international sourcing opportunities

Technology and Other

  • Run and automate reports built in SQL and assist in the design and formatting of reporting tools as needed
  • Support requirements gathering and documentation of technical processes/workflows and the IT roadmap
  • Work in conjunction with IT on develop CRM as required by business development team
  • Responsible for regular loading of public data sources into SQL database
  • Monitor daily automated jobs as needed
 

Qualifications

 Minimum Requirements
8+ experience in analytics or related field
Critical Skills
  • Progressive experience in business intelligence, finance or analytics
  • Proficiency with Business Intelligence (BI) tools, Excel, PowerPoint, SQL and SQL Server
  • Highly analytical with ability to succinctly summarize data from multiple sources
  • Successful track record working on projects critical to the business under tight deadlines
  • Ability to take ambiguous requirements and drive insight and clarity 
  • Ability to clearly communicate with business stakeholders, advise and apply best practices and set strategy for data and reporting solutions 

Additional Knowledge & Skills
  • Report development experience using Microsoft Power BI, Qlikview, Tableau, or Business Objects 

Education
BA or BS degree or equivalent experience.
