Position Description

Under the direction of a registered pharmacist, performs technical, nonjudgmental functions related to Clinical Research Services. Supports and adheres to the McKesson Compliance Program and business standards as well as departmental SOP’s.


 
 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
 
  • Accurately count and label orders so that patients receive the correct therapy regimen
  • Quarterly checks for expiration dates
  • Accurate filing and bookkeeping of study records
  • Proper handling of biohazard materials per OSHA guidelines
  • Receipt of investigational product orders
  • Perform investigational product inventory monthly and as needed
  • Assist the distribution team in providing all required documentation and accurate information to ensure proper shipments to the patient
  • Assist other team members as needed to ensure success
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Professional

  • Meets or exceeds current CE requirements pursuant to Board of Pharmacy Laws
  • Maintains an attitude of constant learning and ensures self-education within the Clinical Research Center area

 

Qualifications

 
Minimum Requirements
1+ years of pharmacy operations experience
Critical Skills

  • Prior experience working in a Pharmacy setting preferred
  • Competent in basic computer skills
  • Healthcare experience preferred

Additional Knowledge & Skills
Some knowledge of pharmacy operations; good communication and computer skills.
Education
HS Diploma or Equivalent
Registered Technician through the TX Board of Pharmacy
Certifications/Licensure
Certified Pharmacy Technician required

Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
