GLAMSQUAD is an on-demand beauty provider delivering professional and affordable hair, makeup and nails services. Our clients range from busy professionals to working moms to social weekenders to celebrities. Our beauty professionals are seasoned veterans in the industry who are handpicked in our own on-site salon and have sky-high ratings from our clients. With a rapidly growing customer base in NYC, LA, and Miami, we are looking for a seasoned developer join our growing engineering team in our NYC headquarters and build a world-class, cross-platform digital ecosystem and brand equally loved by our clients and our beauty professionals. You will join GLAMSQUAD as a Cloud Infrastructure/Release Management Engineer on a growing team of dedicated engineers. You will be responsible for implementing, managing and monitoring the Amazon infrastructure for our internal operational system and client-facing website. In addition, you will help maintain the testing and build environment and create and deploy software releases for our web and mobile applications. This is an outstanding opportunity to learn, work with a proven development team and get involved with various projects and technologies. You have a passion for building scalable, cloud-based architectures utilizing Amazon technologies (EC2, ELB, EB, Route 53, S3, RDS). You are familiar with instance sizing, capacity planning, request monitoring, auto-scaling and security. In addition, you are comfortable with continuous integration environments, git and production code deployment. You have an in-depth knowledge of automation tools, either off-the-shelf or scripted, that are used to support testing, software release creation and other tasks of the engineering team. You will be in charge of all aspects of our infrastructure and software releases and will be relied on as a technical leader who can design and implement solutions that adhere to operational best practices. You will also have a role in troubleshooting and resolving production issues when they arise. We look for self-starters who thrive in a fast-paced, agile environment and that show an eagerness to learn new technologies as the need arises. We Need: 4+ years of experience designing, deploying and maintaining high-traffic environments B.S. in Computer Science or relevant equivalent Amazon expert (EC2, ELB, EB, Route 53, S3, RDS) strong sysadmin skills (Linux) infrastructure/application monitoring (New Relic, Nagios or similar) continuous integration (Travis, Jenkins or similar) distributed version control system experience (Git) Familiarity with 2 or more scripting/programming languages (bash shell scripting, Javascript, Python or similar) Capable of troubleshooting application and system issues at any level of the stack Nice To Have: networking background NodeJS/Angular knowledge iOS and Android build system experience agile methodologies start-up experience Benefits: Competitive salary Health, dental and vision insurance Stock options 401k Flexible vacation time Part-time remote allowed
