Job Description
The Graduate School is seeking an experienced and driven individual to serve in the role of Coordinator, Enrolled Graduate Student Services. The position will promote graduate education at the University. To ensure the most efficient, timely, and cost effective delivery of graduate enrollment services in order to support the university's/Graduate School's strategic enrollment management goals. Ensure the integrity of master's and doctoral degrees offered at VCU. To manage DegreeWorks substitution/waiver and graduate degree audit and graduation check-out process. To coordinate and facilitate meetings with each school/college to review substitution/waiver request report and promote the use of all degree audit graduate advising functions. To manage the degree candidacy review/approval, assisting with provision to full admissions conversions in the completion of this task as needed. To manage the Electronic Thesis and Dissertation process. To manage non-course graduate enrollment services functions. To be fully knowledgeable of Graduate School policies and procedures and to be able to articulate and apply these policies to the graduate community. Provide administrative support for graduate education. To serve as graduate enrollment services coordinator. To utilize web applications, online systems, database software, and standard office packages (word processing, spreadsheet, electronic mail) to complete assigned tasks efficiently. Supports student programs and disseminating information about Graduate School events. Support graduate student recruitment efforts.  
Minimum Qualifications
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Bachelor's degree or equivalent related experience and/or training. Ability to communicate and interact effectively with diverse populations by phone, email and in person while maintaining a professional and courteous demeanor. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Publisher. Database management skills including ability to query required reports. Ability to perform complex analysis and planning activities and to inform policy and practice. Ability to develop, interpret, document, implement, assess, and apply university, state, and Graduate School policies and procedures in order to ensure most efficient, timely, and cost effective delivery of graduate student services. Ability to handle multiple tasks with competing deadlines, to deal with multiple and frequent internal contacts within the GS as well as across the university, and to deal with external contacts in other state agencies as well as other colleges/universities, outside vendors, public/private sector organizations, etc... Ability to resolve problems as part of team and/or independently on behalf of Graduate Dean/Associate Dean. Ability to work in a diverse environment is required. Demonstrated commitment to diversity and inclusion or a commitment to do so as a staff member at VCU.
