Details:
Seeking two (2) Full-time (FT), Court Researcher. The schedule for this position will be Monday through Friday, with an option to choose any 8 hour shift between: 6:00am- 7:00pm
 
 
Starting hourly rate is $15.48 per hour. This position is not eligible for internal job sharing.                                                         
 
JOB DESCRIPTION                                                               
 
This person will be a liaison between the Administrative Law Court and E-470. In this position the Court Researcher will ensure the validity of each non-paid toll transaction to prepare for adjudication by the Hearing Officer.  Court research will be the priority of this job function.   
 
Requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to interface effectively with external and internal customers. Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills. Must be proficient with Windows and experienced with Word and Excel.
 
Court Researcher may be reassigned on a long term or temporary basis to other locations, other shifts, or other schedules, to balance manpower or meet the needs of the company.
 
                                                                                   
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.  Supervisor may assign other duties.         
 
  • Collection procedures instructed by the Public Highway Authority
  • Follow collection process regarding default cases as instructed by District or County
  • Court or Public Highway Authority
  • Research Court Dockets
  • Respond to inquiry or concerns from the Administrative Law Hearing Officers
  • Inquiry from the Department of Revenue regarding flags placed on Vehicle Registration.

 
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES                          
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
 
PERFORMANCE CRITERIA                     
  • Position may require short notice overtime

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
  • Must be able to work with minimal supervision
  • Must view images on monitor and determine correct license plates, states, and numbers and letters.
  • Must use keyboard and mouse
  • Must know or quickly learn to read e-mail and respond as needed
  • Must use and navigate Windows interface on monitor
  • Must know both CSC and VPC systems thoroughly
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong problem solving skills.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Primarily sedentary physical work requiring ability to lift a maximum of 50 pounds; occasional lifting, carrying, walking and standing; frequent hand/eye coordination to operate computer keyboard and office equipment; vision for reading, recording and interpreting information; frequent speech communication, hearing and listening to maintain communication; daily use of computer keyboard, standard office equipment and telephone.
 
Job Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS
Position requires a minimum of 60 days experience in Toll Collections System (TCS).
