POSITION: Digital Marketing Specialist
REPORTS TO: Digital Marketing and Engagement Manager
DEPARTMENT: Public Engagement
COORDINATES WITH: Public Engagement teams including Digital Marketing & Supporter Engagement, Constituent Product Team, Media and Public Relations, Content, Design, Resource Development Department, and external vendors, including paid advertising agencies and strategic consulting firms.
PURPOSE OF POSITION: Implement digital marketing activities that support Oxfam America's efforts to change the common understanding in the US of global poverty and its causes, through fundraising and awareness-raising campaigns.
Coordinate with Digital Marketing and Engagement Manager and other Digital Specialistto track progress toward goals for the digital fundraising program and implement strategies to support them.
Collaborate with vendors to implement digital marketing campaigns on Pay Per Click marketing platforms including Facebook Ads Manager and Google Ad Words to advance agency’s acquisition and fundraising goals.
Actively maintain Google Ad grant to support monthly fundraising, lead generation, and awareness goals.
Implement and maintain fundraising strategies across all digital channels, such as Classy, Propeller, Facebook, and Instagram.
Support Digital Marketing and Engagement Manager to execute email program and ensure successful deliverability, using HubSpot to provide customized useexperiences.
Support Digital Marketing and Engagement Manager in executing humanitarian emergency digital marketing strategy.
Educate staff and serve as internal expert on digital marketing to raise digital marketing literacy across the organization.
Stay abreast of emerging trends and best practices and propose areas for growth in digital marketing.
Will stay abreast of professional standards, best practices, and issues affecting this set of responsibilities, demonstrating continuous learning of the field.
Will perform all duties appropriately for a multi-cultural environment, treating all persons with dignity and respect, and be familiar with and committed to the mission and goals of Oxfam.
Will work effectively and collaboratively in support of building a team-based culture of work.
Will have an understanding of gender justice and diversity within key areas of responsibility and a commitment to promoting gender justice and diversity in our workplace and programs.
Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education, experience, and training.
Experience and Core Competencies:
1-3 years of digital marketing, fundraising, and/or e-commerce experience with a proven track record of success
Experience with PPC marketing platforms, including Google Ad Words and Facebook Ads Manager
Experience with eCRMs and email marketing platforms, such as HubSpot or Engaging Networks
Strong organizational skills, able to prioritize workload and multi-task
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and under pressure
Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical staff
Accuracy and strong attention to detail
Strong oral and written communications skills
