This U.S. based Director will be a key member of the Corporate Financial & Planning Analysis team responsible for overseeing all aspects of finance as they relate to Global Operations and Global Business Services and while interacting with multiple levels of Company management.  This director will have a strong understanding of key business drivers and metrics as well as sophisticated financial models to deliver value added analyses to drive business results for the identified and critical functions.  The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of driving best practices by implementing new technology and processes for the FP&A organization.

Your role: 

  • Provide support and financial oversight to Global Operations function through recurring analyses and process reviews (e.g. current processes, actual performance vs. budget and prior year, budget, etc.), preparation of operational data/analyses for publication to various constituents throughout the organization enabling informed business decisions. Primary responsibilities will include assisting Operations team in the Quarterly Operations Review, identification of areas for cost reductions and operational improvements, annual budget process, periodic forecasting, and periodic analysis of operations performance.
  • Financial oversight of and deep understanding of Global Business Services which is Ingram’s Shared Services organization and its models. Participate in setting strategy, driving performance, consistently producing superior results and benefits for the function as it evolves
  • Drive an efficient, effective and comprehensive process for the preparation of the annual budget and monthly forecasting reporting packages including the evaluation of function-specific Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and a comparison of results to budget along with comprehensive executive level explanations of variances for Global Operations & Global Business Process
  • Provide financial modeling, analysis and support for capital investments or other ad hoc financial projects in addition to routine reports for senior management and the Board of Directors
  • Ability to identify business improvements and cost reduction opportunities on an ongoing basis
  • Client-focused individual with experience implementing large scale process changes. Ability to develop innovative solutions to complicated process issues in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
  • Strong communicator with the ability to artfully influence, persuade and drive action. A collaborative management style and a strong customer service orientation.
  • Proven ability to work effectively cross-functionally with senior levels in the organization.
  • Able to maintain strong relations with regional finance teams to ensure a quality deliverable and timely information flow.
  • Hire, supervise and manage the performance of a Financial Analyst and/or Support staff as the role matures.

What you bring to the role:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting is required. Master’s Degree in Business Administration preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive responsibility within a large corporate finance function with a minimum of 5 years of FP&A management experience. Hyperion, SAP, MS Office Suite experience, Excel, Access and Power BI expertise preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge and experience using Hyperion Planning, Essbase, Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint software.
  • Highly motivated individual with a strong sense of urgency and rigorous attention to detail to meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
  • Possess strong analytical and process improvement skills.
  • Strong performance management skills to quickly assess the team, making decisions on capabilities and effectively manage performance.
  • Motivate and lead process improvement and change within the organization.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work with various cultures, building relationships and presenting to and influencing senior level executives.

This role is based in Irvine with approximately 20% global travel.
