Position Purpose

  • The Human Resources Generalist provides direction and support to employees and managers by providing timely and accurate information in the areas of HR policy and procedures
  • The position holder also provides support and training for annual HR processes e.g. performance review, annual salary review, and is responsible for ensuring that employees are able to access HR services

Scope

  • Direct support to CHEP USA

Major/Key Accountabilities

  • Act as the first point of contact for all employees with regards to HR queries and where applicable direct interaction with the HR Operations team
  • Provide day-to-day administration of HR policies and programs and ensure that they are effectively communicated to all employees
  • Deliver guidance and coaching to managers and employees on employee advocacy/engagement, employee relations management, performance management, career development, talent assessment
  • Work closely with regional HR Operations team to lead process improvement initiatives
  • Ensure smooth delivery of on-boarding, training and compliance initiatives
  • Provides support and training of annual HR processes including PDP, ASR, Talent Reviews and Pulse Surveys
  • Partner with Centres of Expertise (COE) to support Reward and Talent & Learning initiatives with managers and employees
  • Management and maintenance of employee records
  • Ensure all mandatory learning activity is completed by employees

  • Employee cases resolved in timely manner

  • Support on all facets of HR with managers and employees

Qualifications

  • Minimum: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or in a relevant field
  • Desirable: Post graduate qualifications in business or related disciple

Experience

  • Minimum 2 years related experience in Human Resources
  • Proven experience in administration and explanation of HR policies and procedures
  • Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines including performance management, employee relations, organizational development, diversity & inclusion and compensation
  • Experience with HR systems, Workday preferable

  • Demonstrated experience interacting with employees and management at all levels and providing excellent customer service
