Job Description:

The Information Security Officer will be a member of the Business Information Security Officer Operations (BISO Ops) team and work closely with the line of business Chief Information Officers (CIOs) and other Global Information Security (GIS) teams.  In this role, you will be documenting technology and/or processes, working with technology partners to ensure a consistent implementation of security controls across multiple teams, as you provide guidance on information security topics, policies and controls.

Key responsibilities:
•Serve as an Information Security Subject Matter Expert (SME) and be available for consultation to provide guidance on complex or unique situations with projects undergoing Security Architecture Review by GIS.
•Responsible for researching and documenting technologies and architecture patterns, to guide implementation of desired security controls.  Create review guides to foster consistency across teams employing and reviewing GIS controls.
•Work with technical architect partners and other BISO teams to incorporate technical documentation into Architectural Patterns / Designs.
•Liaison between BISO Ops and GIS Technology teams to find applicable solution for BISO Ops
•Drive risk management by documenting the risk associated with various technical solutions

Required Skills:
•Strong experience in technology with an information security perspective
Must display subject matter experience in one or more of the following areas:  Cloud Service offering and security control options for Cloud vendors (Azure, AWS, Google, IBM, etc), encryption, application security, database security, Artificial Intelligence, mobile applications
Must have ability to research and understand complex technology as well as Information Security Industry best practices and associated risks.
•Must have strong verbal and written communication skills required to convey complex technology to others with different technical background.
•Outstanding organizational skills and ability to work in a dynamic environment and balance multiple projects at a given time
•Ability to research, analyze, and recommend improvements to existing processes and policies.
•Ability to build consensus and cooperation as well as to influence, interact and negotiate with senior leadership in the organization

Desired Skills:
•Bachelor's and/or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field, or equivalent experience
•Experience in security architecture review against industry best practice standards (NIST, FedRamp, etc)
