Oxfam International is unable to guarantee the obtaining of a work permit for the role. Candidates must have and be able to retain the legal right to work in the US

Contract: fixed-term 8-month internship

Salary: $14.00 hourly

The Role

Oxfam International’s Washington, DC Advocacy Office is focused on the International Financial Institutions (IFIs), primarily the World Bank Group and the International Monetary Fund (IMF). Oxfam International is seeking an energetic and enthusiastic intern to work closely with our IFI advocacy team, bouncing between campaigns and projects to support on research, internal and external communication, and coordination support around events and meetings.
This position will provide support on a wide range of issues from climate change, to health, education, inequality and accountable development finance.

Our next successful intern will require a range of skills and experience: demonstrated interest in international development and/or human rights; understanding of and commitment to adhere to equity, diversity, gender, child safety and staff health and wellbeing principles; accuracy and strong attention to detail; strong oral and written communications skills.
