PRIMARY PURPOSE:

Provide clerical support to the Director and EL Compliance Specialist, as well support and training to the campus level LPAC administrators and LPAC clerks on the execution of LPAC guidelines and processes to identify, place, review, reclassify and monitor English Learners.

 


QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 60 or more college hours,
  • Microsoft Office and Google Suite intermediate knowledge or higher,
  • ability to read, write and speak Spanish ?uently,
  • ability to multitask throughout the day.
  • Experience with LPAC or English Language learners preferred

 

 

MA JOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

 

  • Monitor district’s student enrollment to maintain campuses are on track with the identification and placement of possible EL students.
  • Provide support to campus LPAC administrators and LPAC clerks on LPAC processes.
  • Assist the Multilingual Department in maintaining district’s LPAC documentation.
  • Participate in the administration of identification and reclassification EL testing.
  • Attend campus LPAC meetings.
  • Provide orientation and assistance to new campus level LPAC clerks.
  • Keep ML Director and EL Compliance Specialist informed and aware of campus LPAC needs or requests.
  • Participate in all district LPAC team meetings or trainings.
  • Communicate with parents when needed
  • Other duties, as assigned

Tools/Equipment Used: Standard o?ce equipment, including computer and peripherals; standard instructional equipment

 

Posture: Moderate standing; occasional kneeling, squatting, bending, and stooping

 

Motion: Moderate walking

 

Lifting: Regular light lifting and carrying (less than 15 pounds)

 

Environment: Work inside and outside (exposure to sun, heat, cold, and inclement weather); exposure to noise; travel within the district required

 

Mental Demands: Work with frequent interruptions; maintain emotional control under stress
