Job Description


The primary mission of the Mailroom Coordinator function is to provide support for mail services and perations.

 

The key-result areas include:

  • Mailroom coverage
  • Sort and log incoming mail
  • Deliver inter-office correspondence and packages from one department or individual to another within an office
  • Maintain shipping and mailing supply inventory and fulfillment
  • Pick up outgoing mail from departments and prepare packages for shipment
  • Determine the best method of box selection, labeling and shipment of packages
  • Make arrangements with carriers
  • Achieve productivity and meet pick-up and delivery times and expectations
  • Assist with office and facilities services needs
  • Other projects or duties as assigned


  • Educational Background:

    High school graduate

    Professional Experience:

    Minimum of 5 years work experience

    Knowledge:

    Operation of printers/copiers/fax equipment

    Skills:

    • Strong communication, organizational, and customer service • Detail orientated • Ability to multi-task • Ability to stand and carry packages for long periods of time • Time management • Ability to work independently • Ability to prioritize • Ability to use basic office equipment • Perform finishing work on documents to be mailed: metering, folding and inserting • Perform fulfillment functions: assembly, packaging, shipping and tracking of materials • Trace and resolve mail problems with USPS, pre-sort vendors and express and local delivery services • Identify and engage appropriate resources for problem resolution and initiate process improvement when applicable
