Job Description

WSP is currently seeking a Marketing / Proposal Coordinator, located in Washington, DC or other major US offices (i.e. New York City, Austin, Denver, Portland or Seattle) to support the marketing and business development initiatives for our US Advisory practice. Advisory combines the firm’s infrastructure expertise and management consulting leadership to serve as trusted advisors to owners, operators, developers and builders of infrastructure across the globe. We guide our clients through solving some of their most complex infrastructure challenges by providing a unique combination of engineering principles, technology, and management consulting skills.  Come join us and help shape the future!
The ideal candidate will have experience in the A/E/C industry and has the ability to collaborate with a variety of staff including engineers, planners and technical experts to support the marketing team with proposals, qualification packages, award submittals, resumes, project descriptions and data management.
We are looking for an energetic, motivated candidate with strong people skills and excellent writing and communication skills to support our fast-paced workflow.
The main responsibilities for this position include: 
  • Support proposal teams responding to RFPs, RFQs, awards submittals, etc.
  • Coordinate all proposal materials (graphics, text, forms and sub consultant material) into a polished, client-ready package
  • Develop marketing proposals and supporting materials; writing and editing of non-technical sections
  • Develop qualifications packages, resumes, project descriptions and other custom marketing materials
  • Follow the firm’s high standards for quality in all marketing deliverables
  • Assist in managing opportunity and pipeline database management, compliance procedures and administrative support

Job Requirements

We are looking for an energetic, motivated candidate with strong people, communication and organization skills. The ideal candidate can produce high quality materials under strict deadlines and manage pressure to coordinate multiple projects at once. We need someone who can manage projects and lead cross-functional teams with limited supervision. Writing, Editing and computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite) are required!
  • Preferred 3+ years of experience in an engineering / architecture / construction industry environment, background in journalism, publishing or communications ideal
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills (both oral and written)
  • Superior interpersonal, organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to produce high quality materials under deadline pressure
  • Adobe Creative Suite experience, Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Some travel may be necessary
