About The Role

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Global Technology & Insights, the Marketing System Architect is responsible for developing and maintaining a marketing operations engine that is agile, scalable, nimble, quick to deploy and flexible that enables the execution of sales and marketing activities. The Marketing Systems Architect is accountable for the end-to-end implementation of systems and processes across marketing automation, CRM, analytics and web.

  • Develop a marketing operations engine that is agile, scalable, nimble, quick to deploy and flexible enough to withstand changes in direction, expedited deadlines and the day-to-day flood of requests.
  • Provide application and infrastructure technical expertise, analysis and specifications for marketing systems such as Eloqua, MS Dynamics and Google Analytics, WordPress to meet business requirements.
  • Translate business requirements into technical specifications, create detailed solution design, coordinate development, installation, configuration and testing of marketing systems in marketing technology stack.
  • Identify, troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
  • Champion change management and training to increase user adoption.
  • Analyze and evaluate potential marketing solutions including evaluating the technical fit and viability of products and applications.
  • Create high-level and detailed designs of infrastructure, applications, interfaces, conversions, dashboard, data flows, and workflows
  • Support the execution of marketing programs and campaigns email, website, social, event and tactile channels as well as CRM, sales enablement and enrichment.
  • Collaborate with leaders of other business units to find synergies, reduce costs and accelerate technology adoption.
  • Consolidate technology stack across all regions and lines of business to streamline operations and decrease overhead.
  • Stay up-to-date with marketing and technology trends, strategies and new channels.

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • 8-10 years of relevant marketing operations, web development and analytics experience.
  • Proven systems deployment and administration experience with tools such as Google Marketing Platform, Microsoft Dynamics, Salesforce, Adobe Marketing Cloud, Eloqua and Marketo, DOMO, Microsoft PowerBI, WordPress.
  • Subject matter expert in traditional marketing disciplines that include search engine optimization, customer segmentation, paid search, paid media, social media, email marketing, lead generation, database management, website optimization, digital analytics.
  • Leadership experience with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Demonstrated analytical ability and quantitative skills. Must have a natural ability to extract meaning from data and use the results to optimize marketing systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate with both business and technical resources.
  • BONUS: Relevant knowledge of SaaS, e-commerce, logistics, operations and/or shipping.
