Page and Internship Coordinator

The Oklahoma House of Representatives is seeking a full-time, non-partisan Page and Internship Coordinator.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Under the direction of the Speaker and the Page Program Director, the Page and Internship Coordinator will be responsible for all phases of the Page program including, but not limited to, communicating with high school students, communicating with House Members and staff, scheduling students to serve as Pages, ensuring all paperwork is completed, and supervising the Pages during session.

The Coordinator will also be responsible, under the direction of the Speaker and the Human Resources Manager, for coordinating the internship program.

QUALIFICATIONS:
A minimum of one (1) year working with high school or college students.

EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s degree preferred.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
The ideal candidate should have knowledge of the legislative process and terminology, advanced computer skills, ability to work with high school and college students, strong reading and oral communication skills, and an ability to follow written and oral instructions. Candidate must have the ability to perform under pressure, under demanding deadline dates during the legislative session, and the ability to work overtime.
