JOB DESCRIPTION:
Qualified candidates will be responsible for establishing budgets, baseline WBS/IMS development; and risk management of the same. Additional responsibilities will include the oversight of procurement and subcontractor activities related to the assigned portfolio of projects. Required to report/present project status to upper management on a weekly basis. Assigned individual will work closely with other disciplines for the assignment of resources to accomplish work scope. This position has both Pre and Post award responsibilities. Pre-Award responsibilities will include support of the Business Development activities associated with generating technical responses and developing basis of estimates. Post-Award management will be responsible for planning, execution and reporting on cost plus and firm fixed priced contracts. 
 
EDUCATION/EXPERENCE:
  • Demonstrated competence in project management, technical competence in multiple functional disciplines, and knowledge of defense contracting industry policies and practices; with special emphasis on U.S. Army programs.  
  • BA/BS degree in Business, Management, Engineering or Science required. (Master degree and PMP certification is desired.) 
  • Four (4) years' experience in Program/Project Management, Engineering, technical or Army Aviation operational experience is required. 
  • Knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Department of Defense (DoD) regulations, US Army Aviation requirements, policies and procedures, cost and schedule estimating, systems disciplines, engineering, and commercial practices relating to weapon systems procurement, production, and supportability.
  • Application of Earned Value methods to project management is highly desired but not required.
