Summary

This position is located in the Vocational Rehabilitation & Education (VR&E) Division at the Regional Office in Lincoln, NE. The incumbent will be responsible for providing support to the VR&E Chief and office staff preforming a variety of administrative, technical and program support duties.

Responsibilities
  • Perform analytical and evaluative work associated with line and/or program activities.
  • Provide advice and recommendations to Vocational Rehabilitation and Employment managers regarding the Disabled Veteran Application for rehabilitation.
  • Acquire Chapter 31 supplies for veterans using a government purchase card and communicate with vendors for purchases.
  • Improve effectiveness of work methods and procedures and similar functions required by management.
  • Evaluate procedures, organizations, manpower utilization among other required functions delegated by management.
  • Responsible for answering calls from veterans and their dependents.
  • Greet agency and non-agency personnel and the public.
  • Prepare and process forms to authorize enrollments.
  • Monitor and update information in Share.
  • Formulate, present, execute, and analyze the processing of VRC subsistence allowance awards.
