Job Description
Summary
The Licensed Psych Social Worker is responsible for conducting behavioral health psychosocial assessments and clinical interventions, inclusive of individual, group, and family therapy. In collaboration with the interdisciplinary treatment team, the Psych Social Worker coordinates patient care and provides case management for assigned patients. You would also be providing group psychoeducation and psychotherapy, individual psychotherapy, case management, and family support.
The Sharp Early Episode Clinic- Telehealth (SEEC-T) program provides a range of evidence-based interventions for those newly diagnosed with schizophrenia and schizoaffective disorder. These interventions are delivered by a multi-disciplinary team and include individual therapy, group therapy, supported employment and education, case management, peer support services, and medication management. Psychoeducation and supportive services for families and caregivers are also provided. A research study is being conducted on this program to describe the impact of these interventions on relapse rates in early psychosis.

Sharp Mesa Vista provides inpatient care and offers outpatient programs throughout the community.

This Part-Time position is located in Serra Mesa, San Diego County
Hours
8-hour shift; 8:00 am -4:30 pm
Required Skills and Qualifications
Master’s Degree in Social Work
California BBS Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
Current BLS for Healthcare Providers from the American Heart Association
One year of experience in a behavioral health setting
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
Three years’ of experience in a behavioral health setting
Acute psychiatric hospital experience
Discharge planning/case management experience
Experience working with young adults and serious mental illness
