Job Description
Duties include monitoring of the canteen/patio area, safety monitoring during visitation hours, clinical area safety checks, and facility rounds.  
Minimum Qualifications
This position requires the ability to work in a secure and locked environment with individuals who are experiencing acute symptoms of mental illness and/or additional forensic/legal involvement. High school graduate or equivalent is required. A valid driver's license is required. Must have the ability to communicate orally, do simple math, perform physically strenuous activities, and work flexible shift hours including weekends and holidays.  
Preferred Qualifications
Previous training and/or experience in security is preferred.  
Special Requirements
The successful applicant must pass a criminal background investigation, drug screening test and employment reference check. The applicant must have the ability to perform at the level of physical demands noted on the Employee Work Profile and the verified ability to perform the essential functions of the position.
