WSP is currently initiating a search for a Senior Enclosure Consultant for our Dallas, TX office. WSP works closely with architects and owners from around the world on large, complex projects with a focus on sustainability and energy performance of the built environment.
 
Work will include building enclosure commissioning, new building, restoration, and repair design of roofing and vertical building enclosures, building enclosure design consulting, including design detailing and specification review and construction phase consulting services, forensic investigation, condition assessment, and building science analysis.  Candidate will be expected to manage teams of multiple staff on multiple projects at the same time, offer technical guidance, coordinate with the appropriate technical leads for the project and be the primary point of contact for the client.
 
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Providing building enclosure commissioning and consulting services
  • Managing and guiding project teams for completing building enclosure design reviews
  • Reviewing fenestration, vertical facade, roofing systems, and waterproofing
  • Performing technical reviews
  • Completing on site forensic investigations and functional performance testing of enclosure systems
  • Performing on site construction observation
  • Expanding business development and maintaining strong relationships with clients and external professional and industry groups

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Architecture, or related discipline
  • 5+ years of experience in Building Enclosures / Construction
  • Experience in quality control and management
  • Extensive knowledge in all manners of building construction including fenestration, facade, roofing, and waterproofing materials
  • Extensive and successful growing business development experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures
  • Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies

 
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree in one of the above-listed disciplines
  • Building enclosure commissioning expertise
