We are currently hiring a Sr. Data Interation Developer in Aliso Viejo, CA location!



JOB SUMMARY:
Under minimal supervision and direction, responsible for design, develop, and maintain databases and data integration (ETL) systems to support business applications and business intelligence for the Carrington Mortgage Holdings, LLC. Perform all duties in accordance with the company’s policies and procedures, all US state and federal laws and regulations, wherein the company operates.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work closely with management and end-users to create and evaluate business requirements to support the delivery of effective data solutions.
  • Design, develop, optimize, maintain and support ETL processes using Stored Procedures, SQL scripts, and data integration tools such as Microsoft SSIS.
  • Create technical designs and functional specifications for back-end and front-end information systems.
  • Participate in the development and testing of database scripts and back-end processes to support system
  • integration and ETL (data extracts and imports) to facilitate the creation and population of staging databases, operational data stores (ODS), data marts, and other data integration solutions.
  • Design, develop and deploy solutions to support integration with enterprise applications. Implement user access controls and data security measures where appropriate.
  • Create and maintain documentation of processes, databases, applications, and procedures as per department policy.
  • Support interfaces with users and third party vendors.
  • Support the design, planning, implementation, administration and maintenance of the database and ETL platform.
  • Mentor and support the training of peers and business users in the proper use of the database and end-user software tools.
  • Maintain ETL process jobs and respond to critical data load issues during off hours.


ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND COMPETENCIES:

 

  • Strong working knowledge of enterprise database solutions using Microsoft SQL Server
  • Strong working knowledge of T-SQL programming and scripting, as well as optimization techniques
  • Strong working knowledge of ETL applications such as Microsoft SSIS
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, collaboration and technical skills
  • In-depth knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
  • Knowledge of change Management, source control and SOX methodology
  • Understanding of data privacy legislation and standards such as GLBA, OFAC, MISMO, et al

 

 

 

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND/OR LICENSES:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, preferably in Information Systems or Computer Science
  • Five (5) or more years of Information Technology experience with a strong focus on Relational databases, application and data integration (ETL), Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence.
  • Five (5) or more years’ experience with SQL/T-SQL.
  • Five (5) or more years’ experience with database management systems – MS SQL.
  • Three (3) or more years’ experience with ETL tools – SSIS.
  • Three (3) or more years’ experience with software development – Microsoft .NET
