Job Description

Apex.AI, Inc. is seeking an experienced Sr.Software Engineer with C++ expertise to support our Field Application Engineers (FAEs).

Our FAEs support our customers and partners worldwide and this team is looking for strong C++ developers to support their engineering efforts, which in part, come from customer requirements.

You will assist the FAE  team by gaining deep technical knowledge about Apex.OS and Apex.Autonomy, while providing back-end technical support for customer questions. If you love to code in C++ and enjoy helping others, this is the perfect role for you!

A majority of your time is spent developing Apex.OS and Apex.Autonomy features, and the rest of your time is spent (typically at the office) assisting FAEs and if you choose to, you can also travel with our FAEs to support them with our international customers in Europe, Asia, and Australia (with more to come!) Your mission is to apply your excellent problem solving and C++ development skills towards answering the toughest technical questions from our global customers.

Your tasks include

  • being the technical go-to C++ expert for the Application Engineering team,
  • helping customers understand best-practices while developing applications with Apex.OS APIs,
  • reviewing customer code and suggesting better practices,
  • contributing to Apex.OS and Apex.Autonomy feature development and improvements,
  • troubleshoot deeply technical bugs,
  • assist customers with architecting their software system, as well as suggest alternatives on how to design the system

Expected qualifications and characteristics are

  • 3+ years of C++ development expertise,
  • proven experience working with task management software such as Jira, GitLab, or similar tools, 
  • excellent troubleshooting and debugging skills
  • attention to detail is a must, 
  • "Get things done" attitude,
  • excellent oral and written communication skills,
  • self-motivated, and comfortable operating without direct supervision,
  • and being a team player.
