Job Description

Reporting to the Director of the Revenue Integrity Department, the
Revenue Integrity/Financial Analyst will have a knowledge of EPIC,
Charge Capture, the Revenue Cycle, Denials and strong financial
analysis and SQL programming skills so that he or she can independently
work to help optimize revenue and prepare financial analyses for service
lines as well as new business proposals for senior management. Will
work with the Director of Budget on an as needed basis.
a. Knowledge of EPIC EMR
b. Ability to using repo1ting tools in EPIC, i.e. Workbench, Cubes to generate reports
c. Able to modify EPIC templates to meet reporting needs
d. Familiarity with EPIC applications, i.e. Hospital Billing, ASAP, Ambulatory Care,
Optime, Willow, Stork, etc.
e. Willingness to learn EPIC clinical worktlows as needed
f. Required to gain access to EPIC Clarity within 6 months of sta1ting position so that
Revenue Integrity/Financial Analysis can write queries to address more complex
reporting requirements
2. Financial Analysis

c. Commercial and Managed Care Plans
d. Inpatient and Outpatient Coding systems
e. CMS Comprehensive Joint Replacement Program
f. Value Based Purchasing
g. Quality Indicators, HEDIS, PCMH, NCQA, PQI
h. Medicare All Cause Readmissions Methodology
i. Medicaid/3M Potentially Preventable Admissions Methodology

Minimum Qualifications

1. A Master's degree in public administration or business administration, or in an equivalent or equally acceptable program, and four (4) years of satisfactory, full-time paid experience in a major governmental agency or large corporation or foundation in management analysis or in operational direction, planning, coordination or control of which two (2) years must have been in a supervisory, administrative or consultative capacity; or
2. A Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university and five (5) years of experience as stated in #1 above of which three (3) years must have been in a supervisory, administrative or consultative capacity; or
3. A satisfactory equivalent, however, all candidates must possess not less than the two (2) years of supervisory, administrative or consultative experience required. Four (4) years of appropriate general experience may be substituted for a Baccalaureate degree requirement. Appropriate full-time teaching experience in an accredited college or university may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for the required general experience and appropriate full-time teaching experience in a position of professional rank may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for the required supervisory, administrative or consultative experience.
