Job Description

Job Description and Responsibilities:

This position provides a Senior role in the identify, design and support of technology solutions for Coherent’s business processes focused on Oracle E-Business Suite modules including Manufacturing, Procurement, Supply Chain, CRM, Planning, Order Management and Self-Service applications and Oracle's Agile(PLM). This position required knowledge and understanding of inner-working and hands on experience with various modules of Oracle. Understand business problems and opportunities in the context of the requirements and recommends solutions for organization to achieve its goals.

 Key Responsibilities:

•Write detailed Functional design documents before building application solutions for the business requirements.

• Provide leadership and solutions to the business in delivering results from enhancing and optimizing the Operations / Manufacturing related business applications

•Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues

•Analyze and resolve help desk tickets that are opened by business users.

•Experience with Oracle tools. Self starter utilizing and researching Oracle's latest technologies to resolve business issues.

•Resolve issues using standard Oracle application processes

•Interacting with Oracle via their formal SR process in order to secure assistance and solutions for problems which are beyond the internal capabilities to solve

•Must have some Project Management skills to implement small scale ERP Projects.

•Provide end user training and assist in training new end users as needed.

•Participate in the planning and execution of system and application implementations.

•Perform other duties that align with the position as delegated. 

Education and Work Experience:

Education and Work Experience:

•Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent work experience.

•7+ years of experience in Oracle Applications.

• Well-versed with business processes and Oracle Best Practices

•Expertise in Manufacturing, Procurement, Planning, Supply Chain, CRM, Order Management functional areas is a required.

•Integration and troubleshooting interfaces to legacy systems and non-Oracle application

•Extensive experience in Oracle R12

•Basic knowledge of Sql and Pl/Sql.

•Experience in Project Management and working with remote teams.

•Requires strong oral and written communication

•Must be a creative problem solver, flexible, proactive, and work in a fast paced, ever changing environment.

•Minimal travel. Extended weekend and evening work required for an on-call rotation as well as during implementations and to meet project deadlines.

•Ability to manage stress and pressure inherent to application implementation, and support.

•Able to identify, analyze, and resolve complex problems in a production controlled environment.

•Ability to work independently and as a team member

•Very good verbal and written communications skills in English.
