The Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Serves as the supervisor on his/her respective shift. Is a subject matter expert in the
  • Police Service regarding laws, regulations, and functions to include security, policies and procedures.
  • Serve as the alternate on various boards, which impact the management of their assigned site.
  • Evaluates their assigned site security program based upon operating results, trends, statistics and problems; makes appropriate adjustments and recommendations for change.
  • Represents the Chief of Police or his designee by unilaterally contacting, advising and consulting with the Clerk of the U.S. District Court, U. S. Attorney, Special Agents of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Drug Enforcement Agency, and local and state law enforcement officials, concerning all matters related to crimes committed and crime prevention measures.
  • Participates in outside association and organization meetings, local, civic and government programs, which relate to improvement of security and safety in the facility as needed.
  • Serves as the supervisor on his/her respective shift.
  • Functions as a subject matter expert in the Police Service regarding laws, regulations, and functions to include security, policies and procedures.
  • Serves as the alternate on various boards, which impact the management of their assigned site.
  • Evaluates their assigned site security program based upon operating results, trends, statistics and problems; makes appropriate adjustments and recommendations for change.
  • Maintains continuous contact with key personnel at their facility in order to implement new policies and procedures to meet emerging needs of the other services.
  • Assists in resolving major issues between the Police Service and other services.
  • Assists in developing managerial response to federal and state inquiries.

Work Schedule: Various off shift, 6pm-6am
