Responsibilities
  • The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a first level supervisor, providing planning, directing, organizing, and exercising control over nonsupervisory employees assigned to Centralized Asset Management (CAM) and Cost Per Flying Hour (CPFH) Branch, Logistics Resource and Integration Division, Directorate of Logistics, Engineering and Force Protection HQ AFGSC.
  • Plans, organizes, and manages a complex support strategy in the sustainment activities for the Centralized Asset Management (CAM) and Cost Per Flying Hour (CPFH), and complies with legal and regulatory requirements and meet customer needs.
  • Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities.
  • Represents, Logistics Resources and Integration Division, Logistics, Engineering and Force Protection Directorate, HQ AFGSC with a variety of installation and functional area organizations.
  • Prepares, reviews, evaluates, and presents data, project proposals, and/or reports.

ADDITIONAL CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT: 1. This position is covered by the Acquisition Professional Development Program (APDP). Incumbent must acquire and maintain required certifications. 2. Employee must meet, or be capable of meeting. Defense Acquisition Work Improvement Act (DAWIA) requirements applicable to the duties of the position. 3. Work may occasionally require travel away from the normal duty station on military or commercial aircraft. 4. Employee must obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance for the position. 5. This position is designated as an AF Testing Designated Position (TDP) with mandatory requirements for incumbent to: (A) refrain from use of illegal drugs, and (B) submit to random urinalysis testing. 6. Employee may be required to work overtime. 7. Employee is required to submit an initial and annual OGE Form 450 (Confidential Financial Disclosure Report) in accordance with the Joint Ethics Regulation.

Qualifications

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:One year of specialized experience which includes duties such as overseeing and managing the development and implementation of a comprehensive product support strategy throughout the system's life cycle; being accountable for all product support matters regarding cost, schedule, performance, and supportability for a program/program segment; perform Centralized Asset Management funding; justify, defend or negotiate in representing the project, program segment(s) or organizational unit(s) directed in obtaining or committing resources and in gaining compliance with established policies, regulations or contracts; knowledge of a wide range of advanced principles, concepts procedures, standards, and techniques of the budget requirements for assigned programs sufficient to plan and execute a complex and difficult product support program. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the GS-0343-12 or above grade/level or equivalent position in the federal service.

FEDERAL TIME-IN-GRADE (TIG) REQUIREMENT FOR GENERAL SCHEDULE (GS) POSITIONS: Applicants must have served at least 52 weeks at the GS-12 or higher grade (or equivalent in an alternate pay system) within the Federal Civil Service to be considered for referral. TIG applies if you are in a current GS position or held a GS position within the previous 52 weeks.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs):Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:

  • Master knowledge of a wide range of advanced principles, concepts, procedures, standards, and techniques of the budget requirements for CAM, WSS and CPFH programs sufficient to plan and execute a complex and difficult product support program; and to apply new developments to issues for which previous techniques are frequently inadequate.
  • Expert knowledge of agency program goals and objectives and the sequence and timing of key program events and milestones; and of planning, programming, presenting, and executing budgets as well as forecasting long-term funding requirements.
  • Detailed knowledge of the logistics functions, programs, and systems applicable to product support; and the sources, responsibilities, and means for providing assistance and advice related to life cycle integrated logistics.
  • Knowledge of safety, security, personnel management, and EEO regulations, practices, and procedures.
  • Ability to plan, organize, and direct the staff of an organization, including special study teams and teams and task forces composed of members from different organizations and commands.
  • Ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and with technical accuracy, both orally and in writing.
  • PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE:Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.

    VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
