WSP is currently initiating a search for a Team Leader (Bridge Inspection) for our Briarcliff Manor, NY office.
Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Review previous inspection reports and plan field operations
  • Perform inspection work and compile reports
  • Direct other field members
  • Enforce safe operations in field
  • Liaison with client field/facility staff, assist with critical condition findings
  • Technical compliance

Job Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:
  • BS in Civil Engineering required; Masters preferred
  • Have at least 7-9 years of bridge experience in design, construction, inspection or other bridge engineering related work• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Active New York State PE License
  • Physically capable of performing continuous field work including working at heights and in close quarters, climbing, carrying ladders and gear, working in adverse weather conditions, etc.
  • Current FHWA/NHI Bridge Inspection Training (2-week Bridge Safety Training and/or Refresher courses)
  • OSHA 10 or 30 Construction Certified
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Valid, unrestricted driver license

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with NYSDOT, TBTA, PANY & NJ, NJDOT, NJ Turnpike, and other NY, NJ, and CT transportation agencies is a plus
