WSP is currently initiating a search for a Transportation Planner for our Seattle, Washington office.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Work with a team of transportation planners on multi-modal transportation planning projects, with a focus on transit work
  • Data collection (online and in the field) and analysis
  • Produce maps and conduct analysis using Geographic Information Systems
  • Conduct transportation and related research and prepare reports and technical memoranda

  • Master’s Degree in accredited engineering, urban planning, geography, environmental sciences Graduate program
  • 3-5 years of experience in combination of post-graduate education
  • Prior internship experience, leadership experience, and relevant coursework
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • GIS analysis skills
  • Strong technical writing, analytical and communication skills
  • Detail-oriented with an emphasis on quality work products

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with ESRI ArcGIS , and AutoCAD
  • Experience with Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign
  • Familiar with multi-modal transportation planning, and Complete Street programs
  • Familiar with land use and Right-of-Way analyses
  • Familiar with grant application programs
