What youll accomplish As a UTAS Talent Development Intern youll be a part of the 4-person Talent Development team within the central Talent Center of Expertise, which focuses on accelerating our cultural evolution through a variety of learning and development solutions. By the end of your internship, youll have gained experience in driving change, program management, partnering across the HR organization, and presenting. Youll be familiar with what it takes to drive talent development best practices across a global organization, and youll have a richer understanding of the talent challenges large organizations face in a world of constant, significant change.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conducting internal and external best-practices research on a multitude of talent development topics
  • Providing program management support for some special talent development initiatives focused on improving diverse representation in key roles, etc.
  • Creating internal and external social media content highlighting talent development topics
  • Coming up with ideas for how to do things differently
  • Asking thought-provoking questions
  • Pushing us to be clear and simple

Qualification: Basic:
  • Must be pursuing a bachelors or masters degree in Human Resources, Finance, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Must have completed at least 30 credit hours of college coursework by May 2018.
  • Must have GPA of 3.0
  • Excited to learn new things, and you're genuinely curious about HR in general
  • Not afraid to ask questions and contribute ideas
  • Confident communicator
  • Humble and open to coaching and feedback
Working Environment:

You'll sit with the central Talent Development team in our Charlotte, NC headquarters. We have an on-site cafe, a gym downstairs, a dry-cleaning service, and we're just 10-minutes from the Charlotte airport! It's an office environment where you'll work in a cube, surrounded by friendly, sharp HR professionals.

Education: Pursuing a bachelors or masters degree in Human Resources, Finance, Psychology, or a related field.
