Warehouse Worker

This position is responsible for assuring timely and accurate shipments to customers. Receiving in purchased materials and checking against purchase orders to confirm accuracy. Keep warehouse/work area in clean and orderly condition. Create necessary paperwork in SAP computer system.  Train to back up all Shipping/Receiving functions. 

• Check product & lot numbers on paperwork & packaging for accuracy.
• Loading and unloading trailers
• Fax paperwork to customers after orders ship
• Help with pulling orders for Adhesives and Polymers
• Deliver FedEx and UPS packages internally
• Retrieve Fed Ex packages from office and R&D for shipping
• Coordinate sample shipments:
  • Pull Sample Report
  • Pull samples from warehouse and adhesive warehouse
  • Print MSDS and COA for packages
  • Package samples and enter on FedEx website

• Train to back up Shipping Supervisor to coordinate LTL pickups and create paperwork.
• Learn to dispatch OTR drivers on bulk tanker deliveries

Other responsibilities as assigned including those to assure safe, efficient operations of the plant.

• Experience in using forklifts
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Work experience in a manufacturing company to provide skills and knowledge of shipping/receiving business processes
• Attention to detail and numerical aptitude in order to assure accurate shipments to customers and receiving records.
• Problem solving and troubleshooting capabilities to resolve workplace process problems.
• Effective communication skills both written and verbal to communicate with other employees and externally to customers and vendors
• Sense of urgency and ability to complete multiple tasks in a timely manner in order to assure customer shipping and receiving requirements are met.
• Computer experience in order to be able to maintain information in Excel and communicate via outlook email. SAP experience a plus.
